Certificates of admissbility feature information on the entity intending to use the name (company name or designation), its registered head office, legal status and activities exercised. 

Upon issue, the certificate is valid for 3 months.

A commercial company needs a certificate of admissibility: 

  • For its formation 
  • To change its name 
  • To change the company’s registered head office to another municipality  
  • To change the company’s object. 

The certificate of admissibility is a document which certifies that a company name or designation may be used.

Who can request

Anyone with the access code can consult the certificate.  

The certificate of admissibility’s access code is given to whoever submits the certificate’s request (may be one of the company’s constituents, the sole trader or the company itself). 

 

How to request

You will need the access code. 

  1. Acess the online consult service  
  2. Enter the certificate of admissibility’s code you wish to consult  

When to request

You can consult the certificate of admissibility anytime. The access code is valid for 3 months.

If you already have the access code, consultation is free. 

What happens next 

Access the certificate of admissibility as many times you want. 

It is valid for period 3 months, from its date of issue.
