Private and Public Limited companies may request online the conversion of provisional registries into definitive.  

The request must be carried out by the same person who submitted the original request. 

When should I request registry conversion? 

The person who carried out the original request has 6 months, from the date of the decision order’s notification, to request the conversion of a provisonal registry into definitive.  

 

What should I do if there are non-conformities in my registry? 

If there are non-conformities in your request, the services will notify the person who submitted the request to correct them.  

If you do not correct the request in due time, the registry might be provisionally approved or refused.   

The services have 10 working days to prepare the registry.  (according to the DL 109-D/2021 de 9 de Dezembro Art. 5º e 6º). 

Types of non-conformities  

  1. Missing documents: documents are missing or incorrect  
  2. Additional preparation: requires you to settle the payment in question.  

When can a registry be approved, provisionally? 
 

  • Whenever there are questions about the information/data featured in the registry request and/or the act is subject to refusal.  

  • Whenever it arises from the refusal of a request to withdraw.  

  • Whenever non-conformities are not corrected within 5 consecutive days.

Provisional registries may be:
 

  • Converted – when there are no non-conformities or those have already been corrected.  

  • Refused – whenever non-conformities are not corrected within 5 days.  

  • Correction of non-conformities – whenever documents are missing or incorrect.
